Record number of cars produced in Slovakia

In 2018, more than one million vehicles rolled off the production lines of Slovakia's car plants. Volkswagen Slovakia, Kia Motors Slovakia, PSA Group Slovakia, and Jaguar Land Rover put out over 1,080,000 vehicles altogether, according to the figures of the Slovak Automotive Industry Association. This is the highest figure in the history of the Slovak Republic. All four carmakers operating on the Slovak market are claiming that the year 2019 will be the year of electromobility. Our carmakers expect 15,000 new registered zero-emission cars in Slovakia every year until 2025. In the next five years, the country may see the annual increase by 30,000 e-cars in.
