The largest coalition party Smer-SD's former MP Ľubica Rošková has been charged with fraud and crime against the financial interests of the European Union, according to the website Aktuality.sk. The case concerns her firm, which reportedly received farm subsidies for plots of land it neither owns nor cultivates. The firm allegedly obtained €40,000 from EU funds for 2017. The European Anti-fraud Office launched an investigation into the alleged misuse of EU funds in Slovakia. Rošková did not reply to requests for comment.
