Over 4,800 jobs to be created

In 2018, the Economy Ministry together with the agency Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency, SARIO, concluded 34 investment projects. These have the potential to create approximately 4,850 new direct jobs and the total investment volume is expected to reach almost 350 million euros. "In 19 cases, this included the establishment of new operations and 15 cases were expansion projects. Furthermore, such investments usually also prompt indirect investments and indirect job creation. In the automotive industry, it is even as much as 1: 5 or more," said Economy Minister Peter Ziga. As he added, 76.5% of the supported projects are heading to eastern and central Slovakia.
