At the beginning of 2019, the retirement age will increase to 62 years and 139 days in accordance with the amendment to the law on social insurance, which comes to force as of January 1, wrote the SITA press agency. This retirement age will apply to people born after December 31, 1956. However, there are some groups with decreased retirement age excluded from the change, such as workers in the mining industry and in nuclear plants, policemen, soldiers and women depending on the number of their children. The retirement age is set five years in advance. From 2020 to 2023, it will increase by two months each year.
