On Wednesday, the Slovak U20 team lost 1:2 in their opening match against the USA at the 2019 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships. Slovak coach Ernest Bokroš praised the entire team for their performance as the USA was a strong favourite of the match and Slovaks led 1:0 after 40 minutes. On Thursday 12:30 am, Slovakia will play against Sweden, two days later against Finland and the match with the last opponent, Kazakhstan is scheduled for Monday.
