"The impacts on the Slovak economy of a hard Brexit are basically negligible, and I have been assured that the rights of our citizens living in Britain won't be affected," said Slovak Foreign Minister Miroslav Lajčák on Wednesday. As Lajčák explained, "a hard Brexit means that all contractual relationships will cease to exist, which is a very bad option, because we will be in a legal vacuum. No one in the UK knows how Brexit will eventually end up." On the other hand, Slovak MEP Ivan Štefanec said earlier this week that Slovakia would be one of the economies most affected by a hard Brexit. He added that according to analyses, the impact on Slovakia would be the fourth worst within the EU
