Job agency executives charged with smuggling

700 Serbs working in Slovakia have not received their salaries for October and November, the SME daily reported citing the Serbian consul Dragan Stojović. They were hired by the Rasken Consulting Job agency, based in Trnava, western Slovakia. One of the workers, Aleksandar Nikolič, said for SME that he was brought to Slovakia by bus, did not have his contract, which stayed in the agency and was written in Hungarian.. According to the daily, three executive managers of the Rasken Consulting agency face charges of smuggling, are currently in custody and could be sentenced to up to eight years in prison. "The police found out that more than a thousand foreigners from Ukraine and Serbia who were in Slovakia legally, were working illegally," said Denisa Baloghová, a police spokesperson.
