MEPs from the Committee on Budgetary Control (CONT) came to eastern Slovakia to look into suspected cases of fraud in the agricultural sector, which was also written about by murdered journalist Jan Kuciak. Farmers from eastern and southern Slovakia from the Farmers' Initiative on Tuesday in Gynov near Kosice and on Monday in Sobrance informed the MEPs of unfair practices, suspicions of fraud, corruption cases, and the non-transparent activities of the Agricultural Paying Agency (PPA).
