Conflict prevention and mitigation, a secure future and effective multilateralism are Slovakia's priorities for its upcoming presidency of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE). As it is further written in the Presidency's program, which will be discussed by the government on Wednesday, the Slovak Presidency will try to be fair and honest in mediating disputes and conducting discussions, but also useful to those who will be interested in moving the organization into the 21st century. It wants an active approach to conflict prevention and mitigation issues in Ukraine and cooperation in the Western Balkans. A safe future includes the prevention of radicalization, the promotion of tolerance and non-discrimination, youth, cyber security and the 4th Industrial Revolution. Effective multilateralism is about cooperation between international organizations, strategic partnerships and the implementation of the UN sustainable development goals.
