If a Slovak company considered moving its financial administration to a tax haven in 2013, it’s unlikely that it chose the European continent.
The number of companies in European tax havens such as Luxembourg and Cyprus fell in annual terms for the first time, according to an exclusive analysis compiled by the consulting company Bisnode Slovensko for the Hospodárske Noviny business daily. Some experts attribute the decline to the pressure exerted by the EU and other institutions.
