Russia expels a Slovak military diplomat

Russia declared a Slovak military diplomat an unwanted person, in response to the recent expulsion of a Russian diplomat in Slovakia on the suspicion of espionage. This stems from Thursday's report by the Russian news portal Meduza. The Russian News Agency TASS, citing the Russian Foreign Ministry's spokesperson Marija Zacharova, informs that the Slovak diplomat must leave the Russian Federation within 48 hours. The Slovak Foreign Ministry refuses to comment on the action, which comes as a reaction to a Russian diplomat being expelled from Bratislava on 22 November. Back then the Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini noted that the expelled Russian diplomat pursued an activity that was no longer in line with how the diplomat should behave in the territory of the European Union and NATO.
