Ex-Economy Minister to be charged for ordering murder

The police investigator has proposed to charge Pavol Rusko with plotting to kill his former business partner Silvia Volzova. Police have confirmed the information on its official Facebook account. The supervising prosecutor will decide on the next steps to be taken. Meanwhile, Rusko is also facing charges of fraud concerning multi-million promissory notes held by arrested businessman Marian Kočner against Markiza.
Pavol Rusko in 1997 allegedly involved several notable figures in the Slovak underworld, including the notorious 'Bucket' and Banska Bystrica Mafia boss Mikulas Černák, both now jailed, in the planned murder of his business partner Silvia Volzova. Mikuláš Černák, convicted of several murders, was among those who testified against Pavol Rusko.
