Patients whose doctors have not signed additional contracts with the largest health insurance company Všeobecná zdravotná poisťovňa (VsZP) and are charged for the consultation and prescribed medicines will be reimbursed the costs, said the insurer's General Manager Ľubica Hlinková on Monday. They have to bring the receipt from the doctor to any of the company's branches and should receive their money back in up to 30 days. A conflict between the state owned insurance company and the members of an association of individual medical outpatient facilities erupted last week, with doctors wanting between 12 and 17 percent more money.
