More Slovaks able to face unexpected expenses

More than a third of Slovaks cannot face unexpected financial expenses, however, the number is continuously decreasing, indicate Eurostat's data cited by the TASR press agency on Monday. The number of those who face financial insecurity in case of illness, injury, or damaging their washing machine or a car dropped from 38% in 2016 to 35% last year. According to Lenka Buchláková, analyst of the Slovenská Sporiteľna Bank, the most endangered are single parents. The worst situation in this regard is in Lithuania (59,9 %), Croatia (56,2 %) and Bulgaria (53,2 %). The best situation is in Malta (15,8 %), Sweden (19,7 %), Luxemburg (20,4 %) and Austria (20,6 %).
