Transparency international has launched a campaign aiming at protecting elderly people against corruption and fake news. The project follows the FOCUS agency research showing that pensioners pay bribes two thirds more than employed people and only one quarter of pensioners would complain. The disinformation literacy of the elderly in Slovakia is half of the level of other countries in western Europe. The project entitled Dlhujeme im to (We owe them this) plans to educate 1500 seniors in person and this way reach tens of thousands of them. One of the goals of the campaign is to select this age group leaders who would pass on their skills.
