An action plan for cooperation between Slovakia and Germany throughout the 2019-2021 period has been signed by the Slovak Foreign Affairs Minister Miroslav Lajčák and his German counterpart Heiko Maas on Tuesday. It sets up a scheme for cooperation between ministries in both countries in the areas of business, digital economy, healthcare, internal affairs, education, environment and defence. According to this, each side will set up working groups which will meet once per year and deal with projects of common interest. These include, for example, the latest trends in the automotive sector, the system for evaluating the quality of hospital care or student exchange programmes. Germany is Slovakia's main business and trade partner.
