As of Thursday, a monument located in the area of the Memorial and the War Cemetery on the Haj-Nicovô Hill in Liptovský Mikuláš will commemorate professional soldiers who died while fulfilling their tasks on foreign missions and operations. The monument's central theme are the names of the deceased soldiers that have been carved into the walls of the memorial chapel. "We've unveiled the monument to modern soldiers who died while carrying out their duties on peacekeeping missions far from our homeland," said Defence Minister Peter Gajdoš.
