Presidential candidate to face disciplinary proceedings

On Monday, the chair of the Slovak Supreme Court Daniela Švecová filed a proposal to start disciplinary proceedings against Štefan Harabin, Supreme Court Judge, former Justice Minister, who is also running for the post of Slovak President in the 2019 elections. Švečová believes that Harabín's actions in the Róbert L. and co. case clearly led to thwarting the public session in the case of an especially serious crime. She also suggested relocating Harabín to a lower level court. The SME daily wrote that on June 13, 2018, Harabin, against the protocol, repeatedly interrupted the speech of the Senate's chair by asking the accused in the case a suggestively deceptive question.
