The future of the European Union as well as the upcoming elections to the European Parliament are among the topics being discussed at the meeting of parliamentary speakers of the Visegrad Four countries - Hungary, Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia - with their counterparts from Germany and France in Bratislava on Thursday. According to the foreign partners, the elections to the EP are a hot topic as these take place next year and can influence the direction the Union will take. Visegrad countries want to present a strong voice within this process. According to the Czech Parliamentary speaker Radek Vondráček, the meeting in Bratislava also shows that the Visegrad region holds together, despite different views on a number of questions.
