"Technology has impacted our world, and in every sphere of human activity; communication, industry, services, education and diplomacy, bringing new challenges," said Lukáš Parízek, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, at the Slovak Matchmaking Fair on Tuesday in Bratislava. The event forms part of Slovakia's official program as presiding head of the Visegrad 4 countries (Slovakia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland) and is the country's largest international business-to-business meeting, focusing on bilateral talks in regard to joint venture creation, tenders, production capacities and foreign partnerships and searching for partners. "I see immense country potential and global opportunities but we're lacking synergy and cooperation. We will work on this as part of the V4 group, but also in the global marketplace," stated Parízek. The event saw 174 companies from twenty countries in attendance, representing more than 250 participants.
