First Slovak facing charges for fighting in Ukraine

The first Slovak citizen is facing charges for participating in the fighting activities in Ukraine. The investigator from the National Crime Agency's Anti-Terrorism Unit (NAKA) accused Mário R. of participating in the combat activities of an organized armed group in the territory of another state. If found guilty, the accused Mário R. could be imprisoned for two to eight years. Police reported on this case via its social network on Monday. According to the report, the accused has been fighting on the side of pro-Russian separatists in Ukraine since July 2015.
