The Slovak and Czech Supreme Courts have been engaged in exemplary cooperation. This notion has been agreed upon by the Slovak Supreme Court Chair Daniela Švecová, Czech Supreme Court Chair Pavel Šámal and Slovak Justice Minister Gábor Gál on Wednesday at a conference in Bratislava. The two countries have been cooperating, with all of their panels meeting on a regular basis. According to Švecová, the good cooperation between the supreme courts has been built on public trust in them. However, the challenge ahead of them is to shorten the length of legal proceedings, as "delayed justice means the same as thwarted justice", stated Švecová.
