Social benefits for people in need should go up by 5 percent as of March next year, according to a draft approved by the government on Tuesday. Thus the individual benefit for a person in need reaches €64.70 per month, while a single parent with up to four children would receive €123.10. A childless couple should receive €112.50, and one with up to four children €168.40 per month. The decision was taken at a Government session held in the town of Skalica to mark the occasion of 100years since the creation of Czechoslovakia, with this town being the capital of Slovakia for a few days at that time.
