This year's Week of Science and Technology in Slovakia, which started on Monday, will include more than 400 events aimed at making science and technology more popular. On Tuesday (November 6), the Centre of Scientific and Technical Information will hold an event called Tuesday with Psychology, which will familiarise the public with the fields studied in psychology and how it can help people in their everyday lives. An interactive exhibition called 'Science Unconventionally' and the Amavet Science and Technology Festival 2018 will be held in Bratislava's Incheba exposition hall on November 8 and 9. "A national conference entitled 'Science and Technology in Slovakia and in International Research and Education Environment - Heading towards Quality and Knowledge' has been prepared for the professional community on November 8. The Slovak Academy of Sciences (SAV) has prepared several events within the week, too. It will organise research at Mlynany Arboretum for pupils and the public on Wednesday (November 7). Pupils will learn about how trees and microbes coexist and the cultivation of roses and will be able to go on a tour of the arboretum's educational pathways. The Institute of Astronomy has prepared a programme to mark 75 years of its existence in Tatranská Lomnica on Wednesday (November 7), followed by night-sky observation as of 6 p.m.
