AeroMobil, the Slovak 'flying car', which is an electric hybrid vehicle marked as 4.0 short take-off and landing (STOL) aircraft, is due to have its premiere in China at the China International Import Expo in Shanghai on November 5-10, TASR learnt on Thursday. According to the International Air Transport Association (IATA), China will replace the USA as the world's greatest aviation market by 2022. "As an innovative company in aviation and automotive transport, AeroMobil believes that the Chinese Government has a clear notion of using innovative technologies to modernise its transport infrastructure. At the same time we expect that ties to other regional markets will be strengthened," TASR was told by Juraj Vaculík, AeroMobil co-founder and CEO. The first deliveries of AeroMobil could be expected in 2020-21, after the flying car obtains the necessary certificates from the relevant authorities, stated Vaculík.
