On Thursday Dominika Cibulkova became the first Slovak tennis player ever to play the women´s singles final of the prestigious tennis tournament the Australian Open, the first Grand Slam of the year.
In the semifinals she defeated Agniezska Radwanska 6-1, 6-2 in slightly over an hour. In the final, scheduled for Saturday, she will meet last year’s finalist Li Na. This will be Cibulkova’s first Grand Slam final of her career. RTVS will be broadcasting the match live in Slovakia at 9:30am CET on Dvojka (STV2).
