The Laureate of the 2018 Oskár Čepan prize for the best contemporary visual artist under the age of 40 is Emília Rigová. She was selected by the international jury presided by Rainer Fuchs, the chief curator of the mumok museum of modern and contemporary art in Vienna. The Slovak artist questions social stereotypes and gender politics. The prize consists of a residency in New York, EUR 3000 and a solo exhibition. It has been organised for 23 years by the Foundation Centre for Contemporary Art and the private platform for art support Collective.
