At least 18,810 foreigners can cast their ballot in the upcoming local elections in Bratislava on November 10th, according to data that Radio Slovakia International collected from all 17 city's boroughs. In order to be able to vote foreigners must have permanent residency in Bratislava and be at least 18 years old on the day of the elections. The same rules apply for other localities, too. Foreigners do not need to register for voting; the town hall puts their name on the list automatically based on their registered address. You can find more information on the topic of local election on the Politics section of our website.
