Traffic restrictions due to Macron’s visit

The visit of the French President Emmanuel Macron will bring traffic restrictions to Bratislava on Friday. Police are asking drivers who plan to drive to Slovakia's capital to the city centre via the D1 highway to avoid doing so between 10 and 12 in the morning. People are also advised to avoid driving via the city centre between 12 and 1am. From 11 to 11:30 the road between the airport and the Presidential palace at Hodža square, via the Prístavný bridge and the SNP bridge, will be closed. Approximately between 12:15 and 12:45, several streets in the city centre will be closed, namely Hodžovo square and Palisády street, Suché mýto, SNP square, Špitálska, Štúrova and Jesenského streets. For those who plan to leave Bratislava from the city centre via the D1, the police recommend avoiding the highway between 4pm and 6pm. From 4pm to 4:30pm the road between the city center and the airport via the Prístavný bridge and the SNP bridge will be closed, namely Uršulínska street, SNP square, Suché mýto, Hodža square, Staromestská street, the SNP bridge, and Eisteinova street.
