Kežmarok (Prešov region), which has been ranked among the least developed districts, will be given €1.5 million for its development, TASR learnt on Tuesday. The Government approved the money from the state coffers at its away-from-home session in Kežmarok on Tuesday. The original amount of €1 million has been raised by an additional €500,000, which is intended to complete the local ice stadium. "We want to encourage the town in its investment activity," said Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini (Smer-SD). The Government will provide the money by December 30 of this year. The money will be used to reconstruct roads, bridges and cultural facilities as well as street lighting, pavements and sewage systems in the area.
