Justice Minister Gábor Gál has confirmed the disappearance of approximately 300 pages of files relating to the Technopol case from the Bratislava I District Court and filed a criminal complaint against an unknown perpetrator. The disappearance was first reported by the daily SME. The Technopol case concerns assets worth approximately € 20 million disputed by the spouses Pavel and Denisa P. and involved accusations of the theft of shares and the legalization of proceeds from crime. According to media reports, the entrepreneur Marian K. received about half a million euro from the company, too. He is currently in jail awaiting trial for forgery and tax evasion in two separate cases.
