The President of the Republic of Malta, George Abela, will arrive to Slovakia on Wednesday evening as part of an official visit to discuss trade and cooperation between the two countries.
Slovak President Ivan Gašparovič will meet the guest at the Presidential Palace in Bratislava on Thursday 23 January. “Finally, we will have a visit to contribute to the intensification of trade and economic cooperation between Slovakia and Malta. The heads of state will also cover current EU topics”, said the spokesperson for the Maltese Head of State, Mark Bugler. The visit commemorates the tenth anniversary of the historic enlargement of the European Union, and President Abela will be accompanied by Foreign Minister George Vella and a Maltese group of entrepreneurs.
