A 25-year-old man from Košice lost control while driving under the influence of alcohol on Monday evening, crashing into a barrier at speed but escaping unscathed, according to the Košice Regional police spokesman Alexander Szabo.
“Upon entering the viaduct in the direction of Ťahanovce, the driver started sliding on account of his failure to adapt his speed to the wet conditions. He lost control and crashed into a guardrail”, said Szabo, adding that the man did not hold a driver’s license but escaped unhurt. Police measured 0.36 mg of alcohol per litre of the man’s breath. Slovakia has an alcohol limit of zero.
