White-water slalom is the only sport in which Slovakia earned medals in all three editions of the Summer Youth Olympics. At the 2018 games which took place in Buenos Aires, Argentina, ending last week, the 16-year-old canoeist Emanuela Luknárová earned gold in the K1 discipline and bronze in C1. Moreover, 15 year old Katarína Pecsuková, won silver in the kayak sprint. She also competed in the K1 discipline, where she finished fifth.
