Half of Slovaks think EU membership is a good thing

Almost 51 percent of Slovak citizens consider their country's membership in the European Union to be a good thing, according to the latest Eurobarometer released on Wednesday. Up to 68 percent of Europeans believe that their country benefits from membership in the Union, which is the highest value since 1983. About half of Europeans, however, including Slovaks, are not satisfied with the direction the EU is taking. Only 16 percent of Slovaks would vote for their country to leave the Union, however.
