Inflation in Slovakia, calculated according to EU rules, stood at 2.7 percent year-on-year in September, the Slovak Statistics Office reported on Wednesday. The index of consumer prices was mainly influenced by the increase in prices for food products and non-alcoholic beverages - by 0.12 percentage points, clothing and footwear - 0.08 percentage points and housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels - 0.06 percentage points. Conversely, the prices went down in transport - by 0.15 percentage points and leisure and culture - 0.09 percentage points.
