Slovakia's Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs was the target of a cyber attack from outside the country's borders, announced the Slovak military intelligence service on Wednesday. Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini stated immediately afterwards that it remains unknown who is behind the attack or from which country it originated, though he added that it's imperative for Slovakia to increase its defences against such digital attacks. According to the Prime Minister, the goal of the attackers was to filter sensitive data with a view to transferring it to foreign servers.
