Functioning judiciary and press freedom as the main pillars of a good governance are the main topics that Thorbjørn Jagland, Secretary General of the Council of Europe wants to discuss during his official visit to Slovakia over the next few days. Thorbjørn Jagland came at the invitation of the Foreign and European Affairs Minister Miroslav Lajčák. At the press conference following their mutual talks both agreed that multilateralism and respect for commitments is the answer to current difficult times. On Tuesday, Jagland is together with the PM Peter Pellegrini visiting the Eastern-Slovak village of Spišský Hrhov, to learn about its successful integration of the Roma minority.
