If a general election were to take place today, the largest ruling coalition party Smer-SD would be the majority winner with 22.2 percent of the votes, according to an AKO agency poll released on Tuesday. In second place would be the opposition party Freedom and Solidarity (SaS) with 15.5 percent, and the third most popular political party in Slovakia would be the far-right People's Party Our Slovakia (ĽSNS) with 10.7 percent. According to the survey, 69.8 percent of the respondents would have gone to the polls, while 11 percent wouldn't have voted, 18.6 percent wouldn't have known whom to vote for and 0.6 percent didn't want to express a preference. The poll was carried out on a sample of 1,000 people on October 3-8.
Smer-SD still preferred party, followed by SaS and ĽSNS
