Three of the police officers working on clarifying the murders of journalist Ján Kuciak and his fiancée Martina Kušnírová have been promoted while the remaining ones received financial bonuses, police informed via a post on social media on Tuesday. Police chief Milan Lučanský thanked them publicly. "Clarifying the case is just the first and fundamental part of the whole case. Now it will be important to prove it and sentence those standing behind this crime," he said. Four Slovak citizens were arrested at the end of September under the accusation of preparing and executing the murder of investigative journalist Ján Kuciak his fiancée on February 21, 2018.
