Foreigners can vote in the upcoming regional Slovak elections

Foreigners with permanent residence in Slovakia who are 18 or older can vote in the elections to local Slovak councils which will take place on November 10^th. In Bratislava, for example, 284 candidate will run for the post of local councillor. Most of them are independent and as well as them, there are representatives of more than twenty parties or coalitions. Most people, more than 40, are running for the coalition of the parties of the opposition in the national Parliament - Freedom and Solidarity, Ordinary People, We are Family with other non-parliamentary subjects. A little fewer people are running for the coalition of the currently governing Smer-SD with the Slovak National Party and another coalition of non-parliamentary parties Progressive Slovakia and Together.
