On Sunday, the winners of the most prestigious theatre awards in Slovakia, Dosky, were announced. The best performance of the year was "American Emperor" co-produced by Štúdio 12 in Bratislava and the Pôtoň Theatre in Bátovce, western Slovakia, directed by Iveta Ditte Jurčová. Júlia Rázusová from the Košice State Theatre won the award for best director. Barbora Andrešič from the Andrej Bagar theatre received the award for best actress. Martin Huba from the Slovak National Theatre in Bratislava received the award for best actor. Most awards - eight in total, went to the Slovak National Theatre.
