The international festival of contemporary puppet theatre for adults and children, Bábkarská Bystrica Tour, starts on Friday, October 5 in Banská Bystrica, central Slovakia. The event will stage 22 productions by 19 companies from 9 countries including for the first time Belarus, Denmark and Brazil. Thanks to its idea of providing quality theatre also to the public in small villages in the vicinity of Banská Bystrica, the festival has been awarded the EFFE or Europe for festivals, Festivals for Europe platform.
