Bratislava might be threatened due to Ryanair strike

Two flights from Bratislava airport might be threatened by Friday's (September 28) strike of Ryanair airline's on-board staff - the flight to Brussels (Belgium) and Eindhoven (Netherlands), airport spokesperson Veronika Ševčíková told TASR on Thursday. Meanwhile, Ryanair informed passengers of flights from Bratislava to Brussels-Charleroi and to Eindhoven of the possibility to re-book Friday's flights to any other day for free. "However, these flights are still planned on time, in line with the timetable," added Ševčíková. The flight from Bratislava to Eindhoven is scheduled at 6.10 p.m. On Tuesday (September 25), Ryanair cancelled 190 flights scheduled for Friday. The reason is the strike of on-board staff in Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Portugal, Spain and Italy. According to the BBC, the strike was to hit 30,000 passengers who have been notified about the flight cancellations by Ryanair via SMS or e-mail.
