Slovak President speaks at UN General Assembly

The need to keep to the rules, mutual cooperation within the United Nations and the protection of the media are the topics which Slovak President Andrej Kiska highlighted in his speech at the 73rd United Nations General Assembly in New York on Wednesday.Kiska also called for unity in fighting climate change and migration. Furthermore, the Slovak condemned the use of chemical weapons in Syria and the poisoning of Ex-Russian spy Sergei Skripal. He also criticized politicians who use the same tools in their fight against propaganda and extremism. "The only honest answer is support for tolerance and critical thinking in society."Kiska held a speech at the United Nations for the fourth and last time and as he does not plan to run for the post again. After his speech, he also met with the Secretary-General of the United Nations António Guterres, who praised his speech.
