A third of jobs in Slovakia are endangered by automation

Up to 34 percent of all jobs in Slovakia are threatened by automation in the next few years, with the country being at considerably greater risk than other members of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), according to the TASR press agency. "The smallest impact is expected in Scandinavian countries; for example it will affect only about 6 percent of current jobs in Norway", said Slovenská sporiteľňa bank analyst Lenka Buchláková. Regions that have many people with higher education, have a higher number of jobs in services and are more urbanised are less threatened by automation. Those with more less-qualified manufacturing jobs will be the most affected.
