73rd UN General Assembly begins in NY

Making the U.N. relevant to all people: global leadership and shared responsibilities for peaceful, equitable and sustainable societies. That is the main theme of the 73rd UN General Assembly, which started in New York City already on September 18, with the main talks set to start on Tuesday, September 25. The Slovak president Andrej Kiska and the Foreign Minister Miroslav Lajčák, who presided the 72nd UN General Assembly, will also be present. The Slovak delegation will stay in the US also after the Assembly's opening, as the Slovak president is to attend the 'Forbes 100 + 100 Years of Innovation' event, and commemorate the centenary of Czechoslovakia's foundation with compatriots in Chicago.
