Poll: Kiska most-trusted political leader

President Andrej Kiska is viewed as the most trusted person among the political leaders, enjoying the trust of 62 percent of the people polled by the AKO agency. According to the survey, the second most trusted politician was Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini of Smer-SD, followed by Béla Bugár of Most- Híd. Pellegrini received the confidence of 48 percent of respondents, while 45 percent do not trust him. Bugár is trusted by 45 percent and distrusted by 51 percent of the people polled. Kiska was not trusted by 35 percent of respondents. The fourth most trusted political leader is Freedom and Solidarity (SaS) chair Richard Sulik (40 percent credibility and 55 percent unreliability). The top five also includes the Speaker of Parliament Andrej Danko (Slovak National Party/SNS) enjoying the trust of 37 percent of the respondents. He is not trusted by 57 percent of the people polled. The most distrusted politician is Marian Kotleba of the far-right People's Party Our Slovakia (LSNS) with 78 percent untrustworthiness, followed by ex-premier Robert Fico (Smer-SD) with 70-percent untrustworthiness and Igor Matovič (Ordinary People/OLaNO) with 63 percent. The AKO agency conducted the poll from August 30 to September 5, 2018 via a telephone inquiry on a sample of 1,000 respondents.
