As expected, cyclist Julian Alaphilippe of the Belgian team Quick-Step Floors became the winner of the first route of the Around Slovakia or "Tour de Slovaquie" cycling race. The owner of the polka-dot jersey for the best climber in the latest Tour de France thus became the current leader of the Slovak race. The Slovak cyclist Martin Harring from the Dukla Banská Bystrica team became the winner of the green jersey.
