The Metropolis project which is to build a multi-purpose complex, including a congress centre and a multi-purpose arena on the outskirts of Bratislava had been named a “strategic investment“ by the Government and thus given the green light.
Due to the fact that the project aims to build a tourist destination of significant importance for the city and increase the number of visitors to Bratislava, the project was given the status “strategic investment” – reads the official reasoning of the Transport, Construction and Regional Development Ministry. The first phase of the project will be carried out between the years 2014-18 and is set to cost some €223 million. The Cypriot investor expects to bring more than 330 new jobs in the process of building the Metropolis project.
